so its been a coupla months...and as i was telling the sage, albeit slightly unhinged...sandy taint...i haven't been feeling my visceral contempt for all things republican...and so my ranting has be quieted...maybe its because i have over the last 3 years built up a sizable hatred for my own party...their complete disorganization, passive and generally inept "barney fief(sp?)" way of handling the other side of the aisle has left me sickened...so i hold no faith in the next set of elections...my fellow americans have chosen a group of...dare i say say it...fuctards...in the mid term elections...
never in our country's vast and colorful history have a group of such absolutely and completely, unqualified rejects, unconnected to mainstream thought, held sway over  our nation and its future... the republican party is...unfathomable...anyone...i take that back...anything, that even smells centrist could beat our president in re-election...and i hate to say it... i held such hopes for this guy...but..the gridlock, hatched by the republican party to castrate and neuter this president, will continue in earnest if a new president is not elected...and frankly we cannot afford 4 more years of the same republican bullshit we have endured...they have no plan to do anything but unseat Obama.. to illustrate this ponder a moment their stand on Afghanistan, a place that they screamed was more important than Iraq...is now a horrible mistake...Guantanamo .. a necessary evil....nope, now its a heinous place where the evil coffee colored gentleman abuses human rights...the deficit...the thing that they alone created...is now not only someone else s fault...but.. lets continue giving tax breaks to the wealthiest of us and at the same time scream that it needs to be reduced...
so now...
they can have anyone, A N Y O N E   to run against the pres and they pick...   Bachman, Perry, Romney, Santorum... GINGRICH!!!...who was cast out of babylon a decade ago for being such a collasal worthless piece of shit that even Bush hated him...  he was a scourge to the scum that inhabit Washington...and now he has won a primary...a libertarian friend of mine...said it best ..."where is osama when we need him"...one well placed dirty bomb in both houses would and could turn this country around...i ask you is there a better solution...is there???

As I age, i find that I am far less accepting of life's little faux pas.  I am surly.  I growl. I snap at unsuspecting irritants.  I look in the mirror and see  what my life has pulled down on me.  Wrinkles, saddle bags, hair in very strange palaces.  I expect things...simple things to proceed as planned.  If my cellular bill, for example, is due on the 24th, I expect it to be taken out on that date. Today is your memorial service.  Today your friends gather at historic Gracie's to tell tales, laugh and drink to your memory.  I worked for Gracie, thanks to you, sneaky Pete and Steve.  Its fitting, a legendary spot, to pay tribute to the man that inspired me and unknown others to go chase our dreams.  I loved when we cooked together and I found my passion, standing next to you.  You shared your love and unfathomably incredible knowledge of music with me.  I found Jason Ricci, Eric Lindell, Los Lobos and David Migden in our "MO, wait till you hear this moments".  I endured your love of all things Zappa and I survived Zappa torture.  To those unfamiliar with this, it involved the can, copious amounts of inhaleables and song after song of your archives.
