Its palpable...its visceral...its not all that hard to understand...it is hatred...if you take the facts...not the misogynistic claims of the nutbag conservatives...Obama has done a yeoman's job...I won't rehash it...and today I am not preaching to the troglodytes that espouse the worth and merit of a total A hole like Romney...no today I am offering my take to those of you who read this, and like me, see that the road to our demise lies in the practices and policies of yet another republican administration...deficits are created by republicans...the facts are the facts...the bush administration created a problem so huge that the solution might be generational...not a single term worthy...but to the point..today I read a report on global post that spoke about an Muslim radical that called for the kidnapping of westerners in exchange for jihadists in captivity...i went to the thread to add a comment and...to my naive surprise the entire thread was an Obama hate stream...and then it struck me like a rubber bullet to the head...is it really that simple.???;..how many conversations have you had that start with..."I am not a racist but..."its almost refreshing, albeit disconcerting when someone actually owns up to their bigotry...sat next to a guy at a bar ...he stated simply..."i hate that nigg*r"...he didn't care about healthcare...or the deficit...foreign policy or bailouts...nope.. it was just inconceivable to him that a black man...with a Muslim name...who probably took it in the ass...was our president...Its the only sense i can make of it...there is no defense for a Romney administration...he is super rich...he is not a christian...he openly shares that the rich need to pay less while you, my struggling servant class, need to pay more.. he appeals to no one really...the problem is that the masses...that still would beat their daughters senseless for bring home a boyfriend of color...cannot stand it..   a black president....its America y'know...and god dammit we are not supposed to have a president that a mere 150 years ago would have been cleaning my boots or bailing cotton...so when and if you vote...know that the root of our problem is not the gap between conservative and liberal...its all just black and white

As I age, i find that I am far less accepting of life's little faux pas.  I am surly.  I growl. I snap at unsuspecting irritants.  I look in the mirror and see  what my life has pulled down on me.  Wrinkles, saddle bags, hair in very strange palaces.  I expect things...simple things to proceed as planned.  If my cellular bill, for example, is due on the 24th, I expect it to be taken out on that date. Today is your memorial service.  Today your friends gather at historic Gracie's to tell tales, laugh and drink to your memory.  I worked for Gracie, thanks to you, sneaky Pete and Steve.  Its fitting, a legendary spot, to pay tribute to the man that inspired me and unknown others to go chase our dreams.  I loved when we cooked together and I found my passion, standing next to you.  You shared your love and unfathomably incredible knowledge of music with me.  I found Jason Ricci, Eric Lindell, Los Lobos and David Migden in our "MO, wait till you hear this moments".  I endured your love of all things Zappa and I survived Zappa torture.  To those unfamiliar with this, it involved the can, copious amounts of inhaleables and song after song of your archives.
