a couple thoughts on el tigre

Watchin the masters yesterday...brought tigers whole mess to a final concentrated point to me...the idiocy of his behavior and our collective interest and concentration on that behavior, brings a couple of things to mind...If you have never been around the rich and famous it is easy...very easy to elevate them to a pedestal above the rest of us...but to my mind it is exactly that fact that so skewed our reaction to his problems... tiger...billionaire, golf god, marketing guru, trademark... tiger... is just a guy...a sort of clumsy jock...never good with words...who probably wasn't all that successful with women before his fame...not great looking,,,and in a room full of great looking...personable guys would never be the center of attention...but fame got hold of him...and he, admittedly, succumbed to people, normal people and their desire for a piece of him...this doesn't excuse him for anything...it just makes him a guy...a bad guy...but a guy...many of our society's great men have, in the end been just guys...a few presidents and some world champions fall into that club...it s not just a male thing...women can be put up there too...and can fall with the same lack of grace from our eyes...the lesson in this is simple..."to thine own self be true"... worshiping anyone short of your own personal god...is fruitless...and each of us is 1 step away from the limelight and glaring scrutiny of the masses...i like to watch tiger play golf...and i beleive that his disrespect to his wife, family and friends will have it's own karma...i actually feel pretty fuckin stupid even writing on this inane shit...but thats how i feel...i found it rather repugnant that their were public conversations about how great phil was because he brought his sick wife and mom...that makes phil a good guy...and nothing to do with his GOLF...after all they are just golfers...
