we had primaries here in fla...after months of the now "accepted form of negative campaigning" the two parties have found their men and women...i was pleasantly surprised with my own party for tossing aside the billionaire profligate banker...in favor of the embedded and corrupt politico from south florida...now you might ask how that was a better choice...and i figure it this way...the entrenched politician...taking a grand here for a vacation...using his amex card for car repairs and weekends in south beach or... or the man who made billions betting against under capitalized home loans...the same guy whose 110 foot mega yacht destroyed a Belize reef ...no brainer..why he is a democrat anyway... i have no fuckin idea...sounds like there just wasn't enough room on the republican ticket...now the republicans on the other hand...never cease to amaze me with their zeal to succeed...they elected the ex ceo of the largest healthcare company in the southeast...the same company that is the proud recipient of the largest fine for Medicaid fraud in us history...his company bilked medicare for billions of dollars and was fined 1oo million or so for their actions...now the ceo he resigns prior to the investigation with a golden parachute that leaves him able to spend over 50 million dollars of his own money on a PRIMARY...hell the republican party backed the other guy...who are these people..my fellow americans that can't see that electing people like this is why we all hate each other...because if you can back a jerk off like that to run my state...i just as soon run you over with my truck...
ohh and the other thing that is making the veins in my neck bulge out...obama is not a muslim...i don't even think his dad was...he's from hawaii...king of the muslim states...why can't you people hate from a real... remotely truthful place...have you noticed that the more they say that their overt hatred isn't racist...it's cause he's smart or...good or thin or concerned for the less fortunate....nope its cause he's BLACK...look i am not overly pleased with his performance...and i agree that nothing seems to be getting better...but seriously if you can't see that anyone left with the steaming pile of shit that gdub...dickey boy and the big business posse left this country in... then you ain't watchin anything rush and beck...and by the way idiots...this entire mess pitting american against american is being created by the rich guys that want the gravy train back on track...and i hope...WE all remember that these self same republicans...backed a war against a sovereign nation...allowed the banking industry cart blanc to rape us...haven't we already seen what happens when we give them everything they want...lose your house value...neighbors evicted...credit card rates and fees through the roof...the five most widely used drugs in the us are mysteriously unavailable in generic form and they have gone up over ten percent a year as your prescription deductible goes down... they call everyone being able to get a form of health care THE HEALTH CARE SCAM!!!...really...every single fuckin american could have unlimited healthcare for what they spent on the iraq war...are we that stupid...we are the country that greed begot...and now that they have sucked the nation dry...they are looking to get back in power ... turn you upside down and shake the pocket lint from your empty jeans...wake the fuck up america...nothing gets better until these republican idiots are rejected from government...time for a new party...the" anybody but these conservative idiots party"...stop allowing big business to run our government...... seriously...is anybody listening!!!!

    I'm listening, too, Keith, and share your anger and bewilderment at the blindness of most the people in this country. It's all bred from such a deep feeling of helplessness - what can the average person do when the big corporations and billionaires are controlling more and more every day? They're grasping at straws, or rather grasping at idiots like Sarah Palin and Rand Paul and Michele Bachmann and Glenn Beck and Rick Scott. It's terrifying that not only might we lose control of Congress, but the people we'll be losing with are such raving lunatics. Hang in there, support the Good Guys whatever way you can. Share your letters with the newspapers. We've got very little money to spare, but I donate little bits to any group or candidate that seems to be fighting to buy us more time to let Obama pull himself together and get us firmly on a better path. If you need encouragement, go to Politifact.com and see all he's accomplished in such a short period of time. I'm disappointed that he hasn't done more, too, and that he's been compromising more than I'd hoped he would, but he IS getting an amazing amount of good things done!

As I age, i find that I am far less accepting of life's little faux pas.  I am surly.  I growl. Today is your memorial service.  Today your friends gather at historic Gracie's to tell tales, laugh and drink to your memory.  I worked for Gracie, thanks to you, sneaky Pete and Steve.  Its fitting, a legendary spot, to pay tribute to the man that inspired me and unknown others to go chase our dreams.  I loved when we cooked together and I found my passion, standing next to you.  You shared your love and unfathomably incredible knowledge of music with me.  I found Jason Ricci, Eric Lindell, Los Lobos and David Migden in our "MO, wait till you hear this moments".  I endured your love of all things Zappa and I survived Zappa torture.  To those unfamiliar with this, it involved the can, copious amounts of inhaleables and song after song of your archives.
