like a lot of things... my stuff...
the stuff that exists in the electronic void of cyberspace.. had become lost...i lost my blog..i can't remember if i forgot the password..the site..the http...but to get to the point... it was gone..and i had given up on my baby..my ranting lunacy..my tossed bottles at the english occupiers...my shaking fists railed at all things... but then this morning... i found it.. my blog..and after re-establishing a password..sat back and re read all the rantings.. the tersely scribed missives...against mitt and bush..against the tea party ... non tipping restaurant patrons...i will say this,  focus, was not my forte.. i  was and remain an emotional, frustrated,  angry old man..at times comical..rarely incitefull and clearly disenfranchised..
 so as we start this new period of "chefoid" enlightenment..i shall try to expand the  scope of these rantings..less political because politics have warped into a new econo-class  of parties..less about ideologies, than sponsorship options...lets talk about travel and people encountered along the way.. a Canterbury tales of our times.. and besides..which of us isn't sick of all the great political insight provided by  anyone...myself included
don't get me wrong..i will still scream about the inequities of our times..the injustices blanketed upon us...why people get to make up their own menus..and people with gluten allergies that insist on eating out...all shall be skewered on my windmill aimed lance

As I age, i find that I am far less accepting of life's little faux pas.  I am surly.  I growl. I snap at unsuspecting irritants.  I look in the mirror and see  what my life has pulled down on me.  Wrinkles, saddle bags, hair in very strange palaces.  I expect things...simple things to proceed as planned.  If my cellular bill, for example, is due on the 24th, I expect it to be taken out on that date. Today is your memorial service.  Today your friends gather at historic Gracie's to tell tales, laugh and drink to your memory.  I worked for Gracie, thanks to you, sneaky Pete and Steve.  Its fitting, a legendary spot, to pay tribute to the man that inspired me and unknown others to go chase our dreams.  I loved when we cooked together and I found my passion, standing next to you.  You shared your love and unfathomably incredible knowledge of music with me.  I found Jason Ricci, Eric Lindell, Los Lobos and David Migden in our "MO, wait till you hear this moments".  I endured your love of all things Zappa and I survived Zappa torture.  To those unfamiliar with this, it involved the can, copious amounts of inhaleables and song after song of your archives. So this week has been interesting...lets see navy yard shooting...house republicans pledging to shut down the government unless they can de-fund Obama care...Pakistan is releasing a top Taliban official into the cess- pool that is Afghanistan...I mean what else can we do wrong...or could we as a species do anything right... in a nation where gun violence is only topped by emerging African nations committing genocide...there is a large portion of the populace...voters ..that will fight to have a gun ..in their house..in their car...under their pillows or even in their kids teachers desk drawers...because if only bad guys have guns then we are lost as a country...where were all those gun owners when this guy was walking around killing people... or the asshole in the elementary school..the high school...the college campus...runnin in the opposite fucking direction...the only people running toward the sociopath were our police...the only americans that should possess a weapon..the people w
