I promise this will be my last visceral reaction .. i realize we are a nation of very, very stupid  people...we find a need to delve head first into every single fuckin train wreck that comes our way..we are fascinated by all sorts of  creatures ... and now the "le gout quotidien de merde"(the daily taste of shit) Zim/Martin..I will, for you, the liberally enraged, qualify yet again my sincerest remorse for the lost life of a young black teen..it was tragic...but really ..boycott florida..not tipping servers to express your outrage at the verdict...by...yes i'll say it...a verdict by your peers..you are stupid..don't be enraged that your brother,another stupid man, was allowed legally possess a fire arm..carry it and kill another human being with it because he was getting his ass kicked...you all want these rights,,,you scream when anyone..usually liberal scum like me...suggests we restrict ownership...the racist among you find some way to tie the African American  experience to a fault in young martin..i have news for you... all our kids are growing up in this culture...In our endless pursuit of larger flatscreens..expensive cell phones and the newest tablets we have abandoned this generation to cable tv..musical and sports icons and the absent malaise that pervades 2013...George Zimmerman was fearless strapped for protection...Young Trevon approached an adult with the intention of putting a whuppin on him..just like a video game...you can't orchestrate a situation more destined to exhibit all of thats wrong with america...not florida..and as you rage against the iniquitous
verdict...or you chuckle as you gently stoke the gunmetal strapped to your courage..just keep in mind..the club you joined..is spelled on the back of your shirt..."I'm with stupid!!"

As I age, i find that I am far less accepting of life's little faux pas.  I am surly.  I growl. I snap at unsuspecting irritants.  I look in the mirror and see  what my life has pulled down on me.  Wrinkles, saddle bags, hair in very strange palaces.  I expect things...simple things to proceed as planned.  If my cellular bill, for example, is due on the 24th, I expect it to be taken out on that date. Today is your memorial service.  Today your friends gather at historic Gracie's to tell tales, laugh and drink to your memory.  I worked for Gracie, thanks to you, sneaky Pete and Steve.  Its fitting, a legendary spot, to pay tribute to the man that inspired me and unknown others to go chase our dreams.  I loved when we cooked together and I found my passion, standing next to you.  You shared your love and unfathomably incredible knowledge of music with me.  I found Jason Ricci, Eric Lindell, Los Lobos and David Migden in our "MO, wait till you hear this moments".  I endured your love of all things Zappa and I survived Zappa torture.  To those unfamiliar with this, it involved the can, copious amounts of inhaleables and song after song of your archives.
