we all have our own opinions..and we all believe ours are correct... lets start with that simple premise...i try, i really try, not feed into my pigheaded nature...i read, all kinds of stuff..stuff that directly goes against my beliefs..i do this.. so as not to be a mindless fob..a spouter of propaganda, planted in my mind by people i agree with...its easy to do that these days..because you can Google up support for your view very simply...and you can leave the page of anyone you disagree with with a simply mousey click...ill give you a case in point..i, like most liberal fucking do gooders ,was ready to hang George Zimmerman the morning after the news report of Travon Martin's death...but i then choose to read everything i could get on the legal disclosures...the evidence...the law..i came to a very un liberal opinion...i don't think a grown man should have been so afraid for his life to have shot a teenager in self defense...self defense.. to me ...staying in your car is self defense... having a conversation with a young man that seemed to be wandering around your neighborhood, would have been far less threatening...but..the reaction of the young man.. to assault an adult rather than stand and answer a question .. to beat his head on a curb rather than flip him off and run..that strikes me as odd...not odd enough to die mind you...but odd ...the gun zimmerman possessed and used to "defend" himself should never have been in his hands. the stand your ground law...should never have been enacted..it was created and endorsed by a gun lobbyist..not we the people..it is not the wild west...we have police..men and women that risk their lives daily so we don't have to kill each other out of fear...George was an idiot with a gun...a very American problem..he killed the boy, he did not premeditate the action..he did not murder him...and so i supported the verdict..because by law i don't believe he murdered him..i think he was overcharged to appease a public outrage...to save face..and in the end justice was robbed...and the boy is still dead...
i watch with equal horror as a very small and rabidly determined group of conservative nut bags...have hold sway over our government for 2 terms..they have blocked the duly elected president from implementing policies that the majority had voted to move forward on...they blocked healthcare..not because they can offer up an alternative,, but because the corporations that get them elected see less profit in it..i have family members who actually buy into the birther bullshit..to me that just places the"kick me " sticker on your back as you wander through the halls of our country..stupidly ignorant and yet walking forward.. we know that jobs have been created...the deficit significantly reduced...financial collapse averted.. that this has been a good presidency...read about it..it was and is not perfect..it is not without its glaring flaws..but compared to what preceded this administration..the wasted and lost lives..the blatant lies..the outright criminal abuses of our collective liberties..well ... all i can say is
read about it..its all there..the good and the bad...but what i can tell you is..if you look hard enough and are willing to accept what you don;t endorse..than you will find it... the truth...and get someone to take that sticker off your back!!
