so i am painting my house...music blaring...scorching Florida sun...and NPR does a little spot...ohh i know...NPR...enjoy it while i have it...anyway...its about Florida governor Rick Scott...you know douche bag...oops there goes my blog again...so he comes up with the great conservative idea to drug test anybody on public assistance in the state...not a new idea, for sure...but definitely popular with the "IHN" and far right...and because the government in Florida is like an amoeba...you know one brain cell between all of them...it passes...swiftly...now on the outside it looks...well...acceptable...one should not be on drugs and using the state to feed themselves and their babies...but here is where my conspiracy laden mind goes...who's paying to drug test all these people...the state i guess... the same state that has cut education by 30 %...police by 30%...highways, bridges,,,sandboxes... you get it...and who will get the contract to process these tests...certainly not the health department ...their are only like five guys left...huddled in a basement in Tallahassee...tryin not to get fired...no... that would be one of "rick the dick's" supporters...some large corporation that just got a whole lot bigger...processing the indigent of Florida...now  envision this...skinny rick in a dark room at the motel 6 outside Lakeland... seated are the ceo's of the drug testing lab...the drug masking producer...and the states largest healthcare insurance company...there has to be something worth skimming at this table...all laughing and pounding on the table...pointing at each other screaming..'.so you do the test, then  he'll sell the masking agent,  then you'll test em again and bob the insurance guy is gonna figure out how to add coverage for that test  to the cobra plan for newly unemployed workers", "jesus christ, this is the best fuckin state in the union."

As I age, i find that I am far less accepting of life's little faux pas.  I am surly.  I growl. I snap at unsuspecting irritants.  I look in the mirror and see  what my life has pulled down on me.  Wrinkles, saddle bags, hair in very strange palaces.  I expect things...simple things to proceed as planned.  If my cellular bill, for example, is due on the 24th, I expect it to be taken out on that date. Today is your memorial service.  Today your friends gather at historic Gracie's to tell tales, laugh and drink to your memory.  I worked for Gracie, thanks to you, sneaky Pete and Steve.  Its fitting, a legendary spot, to pay tribute to the man that inspired me and unknown others to go chase our dreams.  I loved when we cooked together and I found my passion, standing next to you.  You shared your love and unfathomably incredible knowledge of music with me.  I found Jason Ricci, Eric Lindell, Los Lobos and David Migden in our "MO, wait till you hear this moments".  I endured your love of all things Zappa and I survived Zappa torture.  To those unfamiliar with this, it involved the can, copious amounts of inhaleables and song after song of your archives.
