so i have some lung issues...those of you that know me know I have had them my whole life...inhalers...shots...the whole nine yards...but mostly in my youth the "asthma"...thats what they called it was treated by the symptoms...you know an inhaler when you couldn't breath...and pills to reduce the effect...but now they call asthma something else...ocb...or something...and guess what they have a cure...advair the purple discus...you've seen it on the teli... well I have news for you..it works...I haven't had to carry a rescue inhaler for years...awesome right...my entire lifetime struggling to take a breath and along comes this wonder drug...wham...a normal person...so what would a drug like that be worth...priceless right...well thats exactly what the pharmaceutical industry believes...so they charged me $190. 00 a month for it....no insurance... I got used to it...breathing you know...but then I head down to mexico...hey you know what...same drug...same packaging...in english...$45.00 usd...now explain that to me...or why same drug in canada...$97.00...and guess what...when I got this months refill the cost was up to $275.00...now you tell me when is enough enough...considering that the drug sold in Mexico is probably sold for a 300% profit what does that make what I am paying...robbery...and you wonder why they will fight ...lie ...buy and steal anything to defeat the health care reforms...the entire system is broken...and our legislators are bought and paid for by the people who profit by this crime...pitiful

So I am listening to the box and hear the story about Rham Emanuel referring to some politicos as "retards".. And then the head of this weeks "retard" brigade Sarah "what the fuck" call for his immediate resignation for denigrating all people with developmental disabilities. What a fucking "retarded" thing to say. Yet proving once again that this vapid glamor hog has nothing credible to offering in any intelligent conversation. No one was calling anyone with any disability any names. He was calling college educated legislators "retards". He could have used imbecile, fool, dolt, moron, pinhead or twit. But to his never ending mugient pain, he did not. His words had the same meaning and he could spared us all another 10 minutes of "palinism" for the tea party" retards" to latch on to. Today is your memorial service.  Today your friends gather at historic Gracie's to tell tales, laugh and drink to your memory.  I worked for Gracie, thanks to you, sneaky Pete and Steve.  Its fitting, a legendary spot, to pay tribute to the man that inspired me and unknown others to go chase our dreams.  I loved when we cooked together and I found my passion, standing next to you.  You shared your love and unfathomably incredible knowledge of music with me.  I found Jason Ricci, Eric Lindell, Los Lobos and David Migden in our "MO, wait till you hear this moments".  I endured your love of all things Zappa and I survived Zappa torture.  To those unfamiliar with this, it involved the can, copious amounts of inhaleables and song after song of your archives.
